Scientist versus engineer... are they the same? Different? Heres a look at the definitions of scientist and engineer and the difference between a scientist and engineer. Practical and Philosophical Differences A scientist is a person who has scientific training or who works in the sciences. An engineer is someone who is trained as an engineer. So, the practical difference lies in the educational degree and the description of the task being performed by the scientist or engineer. On a more philosophical level, scientists tend to explore the natural world and discover new knowledge about the universe and how it works. Engineers apply that knowledge to solve practical problems, often with an eye toward optimizing cost, efficiency, or some other parameters. Considerable Overlap   There is considerable overlap between science and engineering, so you will find scientists who design and construct equipment and engineers who make important scientific discoveries. Information theory was founded by Claude Shannon, a theoretical engineer. Peter Debye won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry with a degree in electrical engineering and a doctorate in physics.

Before the age of Apple Technologies, Pcs and androids were the most popular items on the market, and that soon changed once Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak introduced their new toy to the public. Their â€Å"toy† will change the world forever weather they knew it or not. Apple Computer first came to be a company in 1976. Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak worked extremely hard on their new inventions. These two intelligent men dropped out of college, and were often judged upon doing so. Apple officially started in the basement or garage, rather than at an expensive business location. When these two men decided to start on their invention they were laughed at and mocked. But they surprised the public when they turned out to become some of the riches†¦show more content†¦In 2012 of Christmas last year Apple came out with the new iPhone 5, this new phone was far different than any other technology that Apple has ever made. This iPhone has great features such as a new body style which is easier to hold with one hand, and it also has a new camera. This new IPhone made a huge difference to the phones of the Apple family, especially compared to the IPhone 4 which came out the previous year. Not long after the iPhone 5 was created the iPhone 5c which wa s created in a totally different way. The iPhone 5c has a brand new body style with a plastic cover and a new curvy outline. It also has a better camera and new apps that come included on the phone. One of the most interesting improvements was the fingerprint scanner. It allows you to press your finger tip on the home button instead of having a pass code or a word to unlock the phone. It is a new and safer way to keep your phone safe. Over the years Apple has come up with the smart concept that the more new inventions they come up with the more sales, commission and money they make. During their timely experimenting of the invention of the iPhone 5 they had to invent a new cord to only fit the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c. In my opinion this was a small concept to lead apple buyers to spend more money on a totally different cord.
